Senior Engineer — Trading Systems

About the role

Design, build, and operate pricing and risk systems for quoting prices and managing inventory across crypto markets, including controls for market-data issues, venue outages, partial fills, self-trading, and price drift. Integrate exchange APIs with payment and treasury infrastructure, and collaborate with the treasury trading desk and CPTO on system requirements and architecture. Candidates must have experience building or operating market-making, algorithmic trading, or exchange systems, with a strong understanding of order books, inventory risk, adverse selection, and thin-market risks. They should have backend experience in Python and JavaScript, be comfortable owning production systems that move real money and participating in on-call support, and be able to translate trading-desk needs into system behavior.
